English Language Learners

The mission of the English Language Learners (ELL) department at Tindley is to provide comprehensive support to K-12 students who have limited proficiency in the English language. With a primary focus on promoting academic success for these students, the department strives to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters their language acquisition and cultural integration.

 

Tindley's ELL staff aims to:

 

* identify and assess each student's language needs and design individualized language development plans to meet their specific requirements.

* facilitate communication and collaboration between students, families, and school staff.

* promote cultural awareness and sensitivity among educators and the wider school community.

* collaborate closely with classroom teachers, administrators, and other specialists to foster a team approach to support English language learners.
